L3800HST
I'm looking at an L3800HST with a BH77. Curious if anyone can tell me how much effort/time it takes to remove the 3 point and attach the hoe? Planning on using the hoe 90% of the time and a bush hog the other 10%. I test drove a B3300SU with a BH76 (I think) and it appeared to be a very smooth removal/re-attachment process. (Looked to me that I could remove it and re-install the 3 point in under 5 minutes.) Wondering if the L3800 is similar? If anyone has pics of this, I would love to see them! Thanks!

Though the dimesions of the sub frame are necessarily different on the L3800, the mount is the same, and I would expect the times to be very similar too. The L hitch is heavier, and the check chains are on the outside of the lower arms instead of the inside, but I don't see that making much difference.

My Kub tractor and BH are older models, so I'm sure their configuration is somewhat different, but the basic steps of removing the 3pt linkages have to be similar. I've been doing it for several years now, and it's really not any inconvenience. Takes a few minutes for either removal or installation. For me, the greatest amount of time is spent greasing the BH prior to use (must be 30 grease zerks!), and cleaning it up after use (ya, ya, who cleans their backhoe anyways? Me, because it's parked in my shop and I don't want dirt all over the place.)

Face it, a BH is quite a bit different from, say, a box blade, so it needs more maintenance, skill to use, and attention when attaching and removing. But you sure can do a bunch with it!

its bascily the same as what you saw on the B3300, expect there is an extra seat that says with the backhoe. It should not take more than 5 minutes.

My BH77 does not have a seat the tractor seat swivels front to back.

yea, some do.. some don't. It varies by model. The seat is part of the mounting kit. Now that you mention it, I am not positive in the 3300 uses a swivel or not.

The 3300SU uses the swivel seat
