- 2018 Kioti CK4010HST
I have a 2018 CK4010H Kioti and it was giving me a run of water in fuel lights with subsequent drops to limp mode. I did store it in am unconditioned barn since I bought it (early 2020 with 55 hrs on it.) It now has 126 hours.
I did not have the tank topped off that I can remember over the winter or anytime really. Anyways, I got two back to back water warnings the other day even after draining the fuel filter. So I got a new filter, and captured the fuel that came out.
Here is that fuel. I don't see water. Fuel is from a high volume truck stop that was constructed new last year. It's a road ranger.
On top of the fuel filter housing, I saw some black crud on the little silver valves(?) At the top. I took them off and dug this crap out. It's chunky almost like ground up tree leaves.
There was a very small amount of this brown Goop in the center top of the filter housing.
What kind of problem do I have here? Do I need a fuel system overhaul or a bottle of biocide and a few fresh filters?
After I cleaned it up today and put on the new filter, I ran the rotary cutter for two hours and the tractor ran like a champ. Thanks!
