Tomorrow is a huge day in Missouri:

- Cardinals play game 3 of the World Series in St. Louis looking to go up 2-1 in the Series.

- Mizzou plays South Carolina in Columbia - a win would essentially wrap-up the SEC East for the Tigers. Think about that for a second ... Mizzou can win the SEC East in their second year in the SEC.

What a wonderful Fall Saturday in Missouri! Go Cards! Go Mizzou!

Haven't thought of the Cardinals in years. When I was a kid, I used to spend the summers with my Grandparents at Grand Lake in Delaware County, in NE Oklahoma. Lots of Cardinal fans there; an old man who stayed in one of my Grandparents cabins listened to every game on the radio. He would take the radio outside and sit in a lawn chair and listen to the play-by-play, and I would listen with him. I still remember some of the player's names, like Stan Musial, Enos Slaughter, Bob Lemon...those days are certainly gone forever.

I think it's funny how everyone talked about how the Cards self-destructed in the first game of the WS only to see the Sox do the same in the 2nd game. These folks play at such a high level that things seem to just mushroom on them when errors start happening. I think either side would agree that David Ortiz has been consistently excellent. I'm not a big fan of either team, but they both seem to deserve to be there.

The St Louis weather forecast looks good for baseball the next three days, a bit on the chilly side, but dry.

Of course, I'm rooting for the Red Sox, but it should be good baseball either way.

Any team that takes the AL/NL championship is capable of some breakout scoring. I think it will come down to errors, lucky bounces and placement.

Close, but no cigar. I was indifferent as to the outcome, but the Missus is fan of the "Old Ball Coach."

Your not #5 now:laughing::laughing: But will love to see your team in the SEC Championship game where my Tide will wash your sugar high away. But all jokes aside welcome to the SEC last year and you guys did good for the last two years. RTR/WDE

The Cards came out on top! It wasn't a pretty win but I'll take it. It will be interesting to see how Boston responds in game 4. What a thrilling series this has been so far. Wouldn't game expected anything less.

Well if I was a Red Sox fan, I would not be happy. Craig stepped to the 2nd base side of 3rd as he got up from his slide. Middlebrooks was close, but not in the 3rd to home plate line. The stumble/trip occurred only because Craig stepped left before heading home. It doesn't matter what I think or anyone in Boston thinks because the home plate umpire saw it and called it obstruction. I think the Cards did have the edge in last night's game anyhow. I believe the outcome would have been the same if more innings were played. I'd have to give the edge to the Cards and no matter if the outcome was or was not based on a wacky sports moment.:)
