Got a 4147 ez with loader, 20ft trailer, box blade, 6ft bushhawg, and disk all for 26000. First tractor had bad motor, but they made it right!! I was impressed with Barney and his son! Very eager to help you with any problems.

I too am a Louisiana boy. I have researched to death for a LONG time now and decided some time back to go with LS, just haven't actually made the order yet...but you have the tractor model that I want (4047), so thought I'd touch base with you see what you thought..this year they came out with that EZ model, I haven't looked at it, what is it that is different than the regular model?

The EZ model has the shuttle shift tranny. I actually wanted a regular on, but the EZ was talked up mighty big by the sales guy so I stuck with it. I love it. Plenty of power. Doin some food plots when i get back from work.

Ok, excuse my ignorance here, I'm familiar with the snychro shuttle...but not sure I understand what's different in the snychro on the regular 4047 as compared to the 4047EZ?? What do you do that's different on that model?

not sure to be honest of the diff. mine has the lever on the left of the coumn for forward reverse. the push button clutch on the main stick shift, and a manual or indep PTO. any differences you spot?

Well, I can only compare to the Kubota that I've used with synchro shuttle - since I haven't been lucky enough to get my own tractor yet, ha..but on that model, and as I understand most synchro's work, you simply clutch and shift from forward to reverse with ease...I have been told that some tractors you don't clutch at all...not sure if that might be a difference with the EZ shift you have?? Maybe the regular 4047 you still clutch and the EZ you just shift without clutching??? Just a guess...

The EZ you dont clutch. there is also a clutch button on the gear shifter where when you change the fwd reverse gear selection, you just push the button, the clutch is automatically depressed and you shift, then release the button. its really easy to operate. my only concern is logevity? how long before sensors and valves start showing theyre age etc?

My clutch foot is 64 and showing signs of age. I think it's out of warranty. I will try and get a few more years out of it.
