I am interested in trying bio based hydraulic fluids. Initially this would include my JD 410 backhoe and case 530 farm tractor. I would like to hear about what other people have experienced using these products. In particular how well do they function in cold weather. Been talking to my local JD dealer and he indicates that they have had good results with Lubriplate biobased hydraulic fluids. Unfortunately this stuff is ferociously expensive so I would also like to see if there are other possible alternatives out there.
Thnx in advance

Well I use Amsoil tractor/hydraulic fluid and use it year round. No need to change it out due to the season. However I have no experience with their biodegradable synthetic hydraulic fluid. It’s quite expensive but I don’t know how that compares to other brands. A $20 Preferred Account gets it cheaper. I’m in Canada, like you, so it’s a bit different for us up here, but looks like you might save $130.00? Shipped right to your door unless you can find a retailer close by you. Here’s a link with the info. Let us know how it compares. Dutchy https://www.amsoil.ca/p/biodegradable-hydraulic-oil-iso-46-bho/?zo=331384. or https://www.amsoil.ca/c/hydraulic-oil/313/?zo=331384
