Well my first purchase of a Massey hasn't gone very well. Bought a 2009 3635 with 1200 hours on it at the beginning of this month and its gone downhill from day one. Bought it off a dealer around 5 hours away from me, brought it home and parked it in the shop for a couple of days, and it hasn't moved on its own since. Couple of lights on the dash are on, and so I had it hauled to the local dealer around 30 minutes from me. They have replaced the sensor, a valve, the hydraulic filter and fluid, and all to no avail. They are talking about having to split the tractor now (even though they couldn't tell me exactly what they were looking for). They have advised me that they are trying to get an Agco Field rep involved in it now. I've already made a payment on it, and have only run the tractor about 5 min. Feeling frustrated about the whole situation, but feel like there's nothing I can do.

Sorry to hear about your tractor. That is always a chance one takes buying used, although some folks have bad luck with a brand new ones too. Was there any kind of warrantee from the dealer? 30 days? Did you drive it at the dealership prior to them delivering it?

"split the tractor" translation is bend over and kiss your wallet goodbye.

arizona98tj I didn't drive it at the dealership. They loaded it on the trailer for me, and I looked it over to make sure everything looked good, and that was it. No lights on the dash at that time, or when I unloaded it at home either. I honestly think that it is a freak deal. I've been in contact with both the dealership that I bought it from, and the one working on it, and they have both spoken with each other. The selling dealership told the Service Manager that they had been using the tractor around the dealership all winter long with no issues. Apparently the former owner had brought it to them because of a contaminated fuel issue, and the dealership loaned him a tractor with a cab on it. He liked it so much that he traded for it. I haven't really discussed it with the selling dealer, but his wording in a couple of conversations lead me to believe that he is at least expecting to participate in some way for the cost of the repairs. I fully understand that I bought a used tractor, so I would be grateful for any help that he would provide.
