We use Simple Green, spray it on and all but the most stubborn streaks will run off. Then just use a little elbow grease. Get some gutter extenders they will help. Gutter Extenders

What we've found to work instead of 'gutter extenders' is just clipping a clothespin on the existing gutter end. We've broken the stock gutter ends off on a couple brushing against trees in campgrounds. We've also lost some of the clothespins. But they are easy to replace and cheep. I prefer the clear plastic ones but have used whatever colors we had available at the time with no lingering consequences. The clothespin will allow the gutter water to drip away from the RV rather than down the side.

That only helps for the streaks under the gutter drains tho. For cleaning the rest I use Castrol's SuperClean, but very carefully as it'll dull paint if left to sit for very long.

I've never used, or even seen, the gutter extenders. We just used a car wash detergent, or even dish detergent, followed by [url-http://www.nufinish.com/products.html]NuFinish[/url]. And I've never used anything but the liquid NuFinish. It takes a little elbow grease, but was the easiest one I ever found.

I use 3M Black Streak Remover on my Fiberglass Boat. Should work good on a RV also. I think I got it at Walmart.

After you get it cleaned then try putting on some RejeX surface protector. Originally designed to use on aircraft to keep the belly clean from exhaust soot and oil.

I use it on my truck to make cleaning up the bugs easier. Work on windshields too.

RejeX looks like a good product and I may try it on my camper. Do you think it is about the same as RainX?

I have tried many different products for black streaks but something like 409 seems to work about as good as anything I have tried.

One thing that will help reduce the black streaks is to wash and condition the roof of the RV several times a year.

This past summer I decided to clean the outside of my camper. For some reason that I can't remember I used Cascade dishwasher detergent. It took off all of the black streaks with very little effort, and even left a nice shine to everything.

There are products on the market made for cleaning gutter/sidings/shingles...gutter zap is a product that comes to mind....lots of products the roof cleaners use..Home Depot and Lowes stocks products similar to what I mentioned back where they keep there pressure cleaners etc.

RejeX is not quite as good as RainX for the windows BUT it does not seem to leave the residue buildup that RainX does.

One thing about RejeX is that you need to follow the instructions regarding surface temerature and curing time. Once you soo that the bugs and grime will wash off with just water.
