Wow...I'm new here, and you folks have got some great projects!
All I want to do is make my CC 124 dozer blade a power lift of some sort. I’m getting to old for this manual labor stuff! I've got an old 1450 that I can strip for parts that has a hydraulic deck lift. The trouble is that to use the entire 1450 system I would have to get some sort of hydraulic pump, as the 1450 uses the hydrostat drive for hydraulic pressure, and my 124 is a manual transmission/axle.
I thought of a small hydraulic pump mounted on front of my Kohler K361, (dyno’d at 32 hp @ 4,000 rpm I might add) and the rest of the 1450 parts.
Another idea is 1/2 ton ball and screw electric drive actuator. The can be purchased rather reasonable, and dimension wise a direct replacement for a hydraulic cylinder. The one I looked at was $89.00 needed 12 VDC and 10amp with a 4-inch stroke and a 1,000 Lb lift rating.
Any other ideas or suggestions out there?
God Bless,
Doc
