Oil & Fuel Bleeding fuel system on CK25

My CK25 ran out of fuel, and I replaced the fuel filter while it was down. Now that it will not start, the bleeding instructions in the manual do not help. Will someone please give me the sequence to bleed?

I need to add to the above--I can not get fuel to the filter bowl. Is it supposed to be gravity flow to that point? Help, please!

There is a lift pump to get fuel to the bowl, there is valve on the bowl assembly you have to turn it in a certain direction, I can't remember what it says, somthing like run off and the air bleed position. Then crank it over until it starts and let it run for a minute or so and change the valve back to the run position. You can also pour some fuel into the bowl to help it along.

I just went through this yesterday on my CK25. The first step is to swich the lever on the fuel filter to the AIR position and then crank it over until it starts. Let it run for 30 seconds and then switch back to the ON position. This is the normal procedure unless you get air in to the injector pump and then in to the three injector lines. In that case you also have to crack the nuts at the INJECTOR END of the lines about one turn, crank it over until fuel starts to leak out and then tighten the nuts. It should fire right up. You can tell when fuel is actually getting in to the cyclinders because you will see white smoke from the exhaust. If you dont see white smoke then you still have air somewhere in the system. Hope this helps.

Thanks for the help, guys. I was able to get it going this morning. The filter bowl filled up overnight, so I think that helped. ( I did not locate the lift pump, so can you tell me where that is?)

Changing the fuel filter is way way easier to deal with than running the tank dry. Changing the fuel filter does not allow air into the injection pump which is where all the trouble starts. The owner's manual does a fine job of describing the fuel filter changing procedure and you don't even need tools.

Don't run the tank dry. I know I know, it's bound to happen on a 7 gallon tank on a tractor that burns a gallon per hour when working. I have to bring fuel with me when I go and mow large fields since a refuel is required just after lunch.

I went through this once with my old Oliver track loader. Man, talk about a major PITA. I resolved to never let that happen again and I hope that carries over to my new tractor. At least I have a fuel gauge on the Kioti. If it does happen, and it probably eventually will, at least now I have an instruction book and the internet.
