Took the loader off my 1310 and now the lift is not working, probably got air in lines, I think I should open the large return line at the pump to bleed the lines, is this correct.

Is it a Ford loader with a tractor mounted valve that stays on the tractor?

You might check you quick connect couplers before you do anything else. Sometimes when you put the couplers back together they don't seat properly and one or more of the functions of the loader will not work. Sometimes the couplers malfunction internally and they have to be replaced.

RickB, you were right on, turned the screw about a 1/4 turn and started working like champ, knew it had to be something simple as all was working good before I removed the loader, thanks Bob

When I bought this tractor the clutch housing was broken across the top, after reading several forums it looks like this is a common problem on a 1310 with a loader attached, got a another housing from a salvage yard and replaced the clutch at same time, looks like its all ok now, I am going to leave the loader off per the recommendations from the salvage yard, may just try and find a 1910 to put it on and just stick it in the market.

Hmmm.. I've got a 1310. The problem I saw was that the engien mount bolts had issues. I'll have to keep an eye on the bell houseing. The loader is handy but likely a little large for the 1310.

I was looking at the tractor this morning and noticed that all the frame bolts that hold the front end on had a small tack weld on the head, some of the bolt threads appear to be stripped, I think this little tractor must have been abused in its previous life, I found a really decent 1710 I am thinking about getting and mount the loader on it.

I have a 1910 and some parts are getting impossible to find,Id consider a 1920,they arent much more money and the 2 stage hydraulic pump is way better,as is getting on and off.
