A buddy of mine who happens to be our local extension agent suggested to me after a cookout the other day that I could filter the veggie oil I had cooked the fries in and put it in my tractor. Now...in theory this sounds great, but I am wondering how this would work in practice. There's just 1gal or so of the stuff, so not enough to fill the whole tank. Would it be ok to do this if I just mixed this 1 gal. of straight veggie with the other 7 gal. of diesel in the tank?? The last thing I want to do is wreck a 2 year old 4 cyl. Mitsubishi engine.

No, I wouldn't pour unprocessed used veggie oil in the fuel tank. If you process it into biodiesel, no problem.
