You know the push switch to activate the blinkers on the left rear light of Boomers? I dropped a small tree on mine and broke it. After taking everything apart I found there must be a small spring in the switch that is now lost. The assembley looks similar to a ball point pen's guts. Unfortunately the switch isn't sold seperatley, you have to buy the entire light assembly for $30 (according to the dealer anyway). Any thoughts of how I can get around this? I'll probably just leave it as is whereas I only use the blinkers in the winter when it's dark, using the snow blower near the road.

PCNH, Not sure which lights you are referring to but the switches in both of my auxiliary floods (mounted on ROPS) crapped out and I replaced them with weatherproof switches. The new switches are actually 2 pieces - the switch itself and a weatherproof "boot" that goes on under the locknut to seal the whole thing. It is a toggle as opposed to push switch and works great! Got it at Radio Shack or Home Depot or car parts place. Only challenge I had was that I had to drill original hole to a slightly larger size and the new switch left very little space inside with sealed beam taking up so much space - had to turn switch slightly to get bulb in and cover on.
Hope this helps. Steve

P.C.,

Only a few companies actually make switches. Equipment manufacturers then buy them from these few manufacturers.
Look at the side of the switch: does it have a part #, a voltage rating, or a current rating.
If you can figure this out you can buy a replacement.
The archer stuff at radio shack is expensive junk but easy to obtain. On-line companies like Newark electronics or digikey will sell a lower price switch but you will need to figure out which one will work.

If you can send a picture I will try to help you identfity a replacement.

according to my parts book the light part number is d8nn15r568ab and has has a list price of 68.25 The light also has a break down according to my parts book with switch part number being d8nn13n313ba and has a list price of 5.23 Your dealer if I am not mistaken has mixed up the lights with those of the 15-1630 tractors. which do not have a break down, but I could be wrong too its been known to happen. /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif
