<font color="blue">"...Now it is short sleave weather and the Robins are back..."</font>
Hey....come on Fred. /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif After the severe winter we've had here in the east this year let's give those Robins a break and a hearty welcome. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif They and we deserve it.
I remember that 1993 Blizzard. We got over 2 feet of snow with 30-40mph winds, drifts of 3-4 feet, followed by severe cold afterwards of a couple days. We lost power for have a day, tree branch fell down on power line across the road from us and caught on fire. Firemen came to put out fire that set branches on fire. They thought our house was abandoned when they strolled around the house to see if any homeowners were in residence. One of them fell into my partially exposed septic tank that was not fully buried yet due to renovations in progress at the time. /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif
I did not have my tractor yet and I found myself hand shoveling all this snow. About 5 days later, the weather warmed up with heavy Spring rains. This caused tremendous snowmelt with water cascading down the hill next to my house. The water came crashing into the north side of the house, breaking through a basement window, flooding my basement with 4 feet of water. It knocked out my water heater and water pump and tossed my firewood piles all over the basement. /forums/images/graemlins/mad.gif
All in all, a very eventful occurrence that I remember vividly. /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif
