Block heater price

I went into my John Deere dealer today to pick up a block heater for my 4115.

Very shocked when quoted $200 plus tax.:confused2:

Do i have to buy specific deere parts for this? Or is there an after market one that works as well?

Suggest you go to JD parts (URL included), an adpater (AM882530 $57.00 ) and a heater/power cord (AR87167 $73) are needed. Since 73 and 57 does not equal 200. If you register at the second URL you can get the prices. The 73 and 57 are from the dealer I go to.
