Hi Folks,
I have an LX410 and I have had to start it a couple of times lately when it was around 10-15 degrees. It started ok but it didn't like it so I am considering putting in a block heater. It would make it a lot easier on the machine.
Do any of you have a block heater on a relatively new tractor say 2010 and later? Does Yanmar make one?

I have a block heater on my 2009 Sc2450 so I am sure Yanmar makes a block heater for your tractor, Call your dealer.
Here is a link for the parts scroll down and it is listed as "Heater Block"
This listing is for the Lx450 model for some reason I can not get the listing for the Lx410 link to work.

Katahdin, I spoke to my Yanmar dealer last week and he said Yanmar is now making block heaters for these machines. He said there was enough request for them so they are now making them.

Hi NHSawyer, I have an 2009 EX3200, and in upstate NY the temps have been very low. My tractor is in an unheated garage, and when I attempt to start the diesel engine, of course by following the preheat procedure (turn key ccw for ~15 seconds), the engine will start. My issue has been, will the engine continue to run! Quite often the engine will die, and require restarting. I will typically have to restart the engine several times when the ambient temperature is below zero. Therefore, I am going to start using a diesel fuel additive (to eliminate or reduce water/bacteria in the fuel), and install a 400 watt block heater ASAP. I recently purchased both items, but haven't added them on my tractor yet (too cold)! I went to our local Yanmar dealership for the block heater, and they sold me a Kubota block heater. The salesman said that it was the correct one for my machine. I am sure that it will fit and perform properly for my Yanmar tractor. I tested the 110 VAC heater by placing it in a metal can filled with water. Wow! in 15 ~ 30 seconds the water began to boil. I was very impressed with the amount of heat that the tiny block heater produced. Now if I can only get out to the detached garage and get it installed. Good luck on your block heater.
