Bluegrass Music

Just thought I would pass along the name of a up and coming group for y'all to check out.
The group is Nickel Creek.
A fairly young bunch. But they have already made a name for themselves. I think the industry sort of classifies them as "new grass" music, not really like the old twangy stuff.
Which is okay to me, but just in small doses.
I am going to see them in concert this fall. I will let you know how it goes. Here is a link for their concert schedule.

Nickle Creek does not play what I would call traditional bluegrass, but as you say, they are a very talented group of young folks and certainly worth listening to. I see you are from N AL. I play dobro with Pinhook Creek from Madison, AL. We have never been confused with Nickle Creek!

Althought I have limited experience with bluegrass, I agree that they are not traditional. I am not even sure if it is classified as mountain music. Ahh who cares. I just really enjoy listening to them.
I discovered them through Napster, man I miss Napster!
Pinhook Creek : like the name, when are y'all playing in this area? I am just down Hwy 72 - Athens.
