Over the years I've had a lot of flats, and I just got tired of it. I've wanted a magnetic sweeper for awhile and finally gave in. I just got it today and threw it on the Gator's blade for a run arounD the yard and a place where I had a burn pile and had leveled it.

I'll probably mount it somewhere else as it rubs the grounsd a lot where it is.

Anyone have any questions or comments? I thought that was a lot of nails for 15 minutes of driving around.

Never seen one of them before, is it just a really heavy duty magnet or is it and electromagnet?

That is a lot of nails, could have been lots of flat tires there.

It is just a pretty strong magnet. I'm surprised at the number of nails, there's a lot more on the backside.

Only problem is it won't work on aluminum nails. We tried to rig a system up like that at our firing range, it did ok for some things, but would not pick up brass or aluminum.

If it isn't a concern for you, then your doing great.

I have a farmyard and over the years have demolished a lot of buildings. You're right, it only works on iron. Iron nails are my major problem though, so I am satisfied.

Maybe one of those bobcat landscape rakes would pick up shells 3/4" or bigger if you're trying to clean up soil. There are other kinds of fine rakes that might work too.

Now if they find a way to pick up gold this easy, I'd get an ATV and go west.

If he's picking up fired shells 3/4" or larger...I want to come shootin' at his range...sounds like fun.
