A razor blade scraper works also. That is all I have ever used to remove them. Use a new sharp blade and care and they can be removed from painted or fiberglass surfaces with no damage. A hair dryer might be good to soften them up and just peel them off. I have used that on windshields to remove the inspections stickers when replacing the windshields and you can just stick them back on the new windshield while they are hot. Apply the heat from the glass side. That would likely work on the aluminum also if you can get to the back side. Since you arent saving the sticker either side would work.
