The pin that connects the skid steer lift arms to the Bob-tach on a 753 are becoming waller'd out. The pin tightens into a tapered bushing and is held by a bolt. The bolts on both sides gradually work loose and fall out. This happens every 20hrs or so. But yesterday morning the bolt literally sheered off, and once I returned 'parts in hand, had to chisel an unrecognizable bushing out.

When looking at the parts schematic, melroe depicts pin to tapered sleeve to straight sleeve to washer to bolt. However, I'd swear the setup to be more recognizable as straight sleeve inside bob-tach serving as a bushing, then pin inserted to tapered sleeve inside arm to washer/bolt fastened to outside of arm. Oh and seal/cup assy is included.

As a bandage/quick fix I've just inserted the pin into the bob-tach, and bolted from the outside of the arm, and am babying the entire assembly, pretty much just performing light grading in reverse.

Two-Fold Question. (See attached thumbnail of location)

-Does the bob-tach hole that the pin sits in take a tapered sleeve or a straight sleeve. What I chiseled out was the remains of the pin itself, but the diameter of the hole is 1.75" vs the serial # of my machine takes a 1.25"dia pin.

-Does the lift arm itself take a sleeve of some type? The condition of the arm hole is becoming oval in shape.

Thanx in advance!
