Anyone here know if this skidsteer hydraulic breaker... identified only as a "Bobcat 2560"... can be run effectively off a 9.5 GPM tractor hydraulic system?

The seller doesn't know and this model breaker is apparently not current production. It is not listed on the Bobcat website. Thanks! :)

Dougster, i know nothing about nothing, but i'd guess if it were for a "standard flow" system, you'd have no problem running it..... but are you sure you want that on your tractor?

First off, you always say you know nothing about nothing! :D You sound like my hero: Sargent Schultz!!! :D Somehow, I think you know a lot more than you are letting on! ;)

Secondly, based on current offerings by Bobcat and relative size, I kinda think this unit is rated for maybe 13-15 GPM. The question is: How well would if function at 9.5 GPM? Indeed, would it function at all?

Thirdly, as long as it has enough mass to absorb the shock and pounding, I believe that the ML112 FEL could tolerate it. If not, I would have to design and build an isolation bracket. Also keep in mind, I may have a skidsteer in my "fleet" as soon as September.

These breaker things rent locally for $150 a day, which is marginally tolerable until they make you rent the skidsteer to run it at $250-$300 a day. Suddenly, you're talking real money. Certainly more than *my* clients want to pay.

Well.... i was just recently looking at different skidsteer attachments myself. My FIL as an older bobcat, and even though my tractor is small, i figured... anything the two of us could share, since his is a "standard" or "low flow", would be that much easier to justify. I'm just theorizing a breaker would pound the bejeezus out of your tractor (and your kidneys.... which are probably bad enough already! HAH!!). Just a thought, which you may have already tried, but you could call Bobcat of NH (Chichester? Or Northwood maybe?) and inquire with their parts guy. He is really good, and knows his stuff without having to look up everything in a manual. He was nice enough to spend a bunch of his time helping me find an odd hydraulic part, even though it had nothing to do with a Bobcat. FWIW, my FIL has said great things about him too, and he doesn't say good things about just anyone ! I don't recall his name, but i believe he is more or less their only parts guy. I would imagine he could tell you how many GPM and PSI you'd need to run that particular breaker. Good luck !
