Hi,
This is my first question. I just bought a used Bobcat 763.
The instrument/gauge panel in the upper right corner is very dim.
Can barely see it.
I believe it is lit up in an orange color, showing the fuel gauge, etc. Anyway, is there a way to make it brighter? Is there a "rheostat" like a dimmer switch in your car, or a "pot" to adjust internally for that? Would like to see it better, rather than pressing my head against the gauge to see it....
Thanks and glad to be here.

There is no reostat adjustment, but it is backlit with blubs. Check the bulbs make sure they are all working, have good coonections. If all else fails repalce them with brighter ones.

Ah, thanks. Will take it apart tomorrow. Are they standard automotive bulbs?

It was a bad bulb. Thanks for the tip. But darn it, when I turned it to take it out the plastic bulb housing broke. So now I need to find a new socket to plug the light in.
You think Bobcat carries those. Looks like I have to splice in in too!

I don't know it the socket is available as a part or not. Check with dealer though, the service department may have an old cab harness laying around to cut on off. This is a normal panel, marker light socket an auto parts store may have them.

Just an update:
Well I was able to find the 2 parts at the Bobcat dealer in New Orleans.
The whole panel is called the Boss System (which they don't make anymore)
The light bulb is part # 6578357
The bulb socket with 6 inch leads is part # 6649331
Just cut the old one out, spliced in the new one, inserted the bulb and put it all back on the Bobcat and it all works fine. I can see the display again. Woo-hoo
