Morning all,
I posted this in the constructions site, and jeffinsgf only answer. I am hopein someone else may have had some experience with this digger. It looks like something I could use for multiply things around hear. I am looking for possible usage on front end loader for digging and clean up of some ditches Any suggestions or information would be helpful. Thanks.

I have one and it has paid for itself over and over. I use it for digging culverts. You can dig forward and reverse. You also can lift pipe or poles 20' and carry them to place them in the ditch, this is very helpful, because with pallet forks the material slides from side to side. I can cut a ditch in one pass, or dig a trench to 4' deep. I purchased an extra one because I liked it so much, I got a great deal one them. If your interested let me know

Land,
What are you using yours on? Skid steer, or FE loader? I am looking to put this on a Woods 1020 FEL, and was wondering how it would work on a fel. Looks like it could be used for ditching, as well as general digging. I have been looking for different brands, but they are hard to find if you don’t know what the different manufactures call them. There seems to be several designs, but looks like the open rear end would be the most useful for me. What are your thoughts?
Where are you located, and what are we talking for a “great deal”.
Thanks for the reply.

Dapper, I have used it on both a skid steer and a FEL. It might be a little more nimble on the skid steer, but it works just fine on the FEL. I have trenched with it and moved trees on the tractor and on the Bobcat. Line of sight is better on the Bobcat, but that is no different than a bucket.

Does anyone other than Bobcat make one open on both sides?

Yes, I have see website for Viring. They call theirs “U Blade”. It looks almost the same as bobcat’s.

There is one for New Holland, made by FFC, called a tree spade. This is open at the rear, but not nearly as much as bobcats.

I’m sure there are others, but you have to know what they are called in order to search for them. If any one knows of any please let me know.
There seem to be plenty of tree spade types that are closed at the rear, but that would not be useful for digging ditches, and that is what the primary usage would be for me.
Thanks for your help on the loader usage. Would love to have bobcat, but only allowed so many toys. :)
