Code is displayed 98-98, red light did not go out when in f or r when rpms increased, I will try and find a service manual online to download as a pdf, I have no idea where those wires would go to drive solenoids, unless you access from under the machine,,its freezing rain here and about 25degreesf

hi xfaxman, im getting the codes 50-15 and 70-28 on my v417, still have a no-go forward or reverse, ive changed out the magnet on the rear spoolvalve at bottom of cab, magnet had failed and valve would not activate,i also had not power at the valve so have put in a layout wire line, now have power to it when parking brake switch deactivated, parking brake light has gone off but the fault light still illuminated and these two codes above showed up,i cant seem to find anything about inching control, any thoughts?the 70-28 code says brake pressure failure, any advice would be deeply appreciated as id really like to get the machine mobile again

im new to this forum, hope someone out there can help i was skidding logs out with this v417 telehandler, went to switch it from 4wheel steer to 2 wheel and it just stopped,
Have you tried all 3 steering mode positions to see if that affects it?
im getting the codes 50-15 and 70-28 on my v417, still have a no-go forward or reverse,
50-15 is Inching Control, out of range low.
70-28 is Brake Pressure, failure
i cant seem to find anything about inching control, any thoughts?
Inching control is pressing the brake pedal slightly to decrease travel speed.
Pressing the pedal farther down applies the brakes.
I will try and find a service manual online to download as a pdf,
If you did not get a service manual it is available from Bobcat to match your serial number: Service Manuals - Manuals and Instructions | Bobcat Company

thanks for your reply xfaxman, yes ive tried all three steering modes and no go in any of them,
i have downloaded a service manual but thus far cant find much on the inching control,
i may try to bleed the brake system(to address the 70-28 eror code) and make sure there isnt an air pocket in the system that is causing the issue, as well ill try and locate any brake pressure switch which may be faulty,
ive already replaced the magnet on the rear spool valve as it had failed or lost its magnetic properties, the valve now actuates but that hasnt fixed problem, ive released the brakes on front axles using the bolts and taking out spacers,to no avail.there is an inching button on dashboard, ill try actuating it and disengaging it,beyond that im stymied???? thanks for taking the time to respond.

Mine does not have an inching button.
It does have a creep mode button, but that is not related to inching mode.
thanks for taking the time to respond.
You are welcome, wish that I could solve your problem, but am too far away to use my multimeter on it!

of course you were right, mine has creep mode too, not inching, its been an interesting road, i know a lot more about telehandler now since trying to diagnose issue, there is no dealer near me for a 100 miles and that dealer has been shall we say,,,,non responsive.its frustrating because im convinced it is something electrical and my bobcat is old enought that i could have a bad ground or corroded wire somewhere in the wiring loom bundle, ill keep at it.cheers, and again my thanks for your kind responses

You're welcome.
I think the Brake Pressure, failure code is what is keeping it from moving. The brakes spring applied and are released by hydraulic pressure.

Good luck and let us know what fixes it.
