I see in the L48 Kubota brochure that they are no longer using the SAE method of measuring the loader capabilities. Hmm, maybe they don't want it compared apples to apples to the L35!
Kubota's no more guilty of this than other companies but it would be nice to see some consistency at least between models.
Some time ago all the colors went back to gross hp, another joke. We've discussed this before on this board, you know, gross hp is the theoretical power of the explosion in the chamber etc. /w3tcompact/icons/wink.gif
I know their intent is to sell tractors and make it difficult (I guess) to easily compare JD NH KU etc etc. Backhoes and loaders are rated all kinds of ways. Lift at the pin, (is the bucket on?). Breakout force, is that stopped or at 10mph? The SAE standards were fairly exact I think, so there could be some consistancy.
