I have a Bolens H1502 which has a three point hitch. The hitch seems to raise but has almost no power at all. It seems to be able to raise the weight of the three point hitch arms, but almost nothing further. I can place my hand on the hitch and stop it from raising. Additionally, once the hitch stops raising after seeing a load, I can grab it and raise it by hand. The hitch will hold its poistion and not bleed down.
I removed and inspected the saftey (relief valve) the spring, ball, and adjustment is set to be nearly as firm as it can be.
I found a junction on the high pressure (smaller) steel line to see if the fluid was under high pressue and it seemed to drip out - but not squirt out dramatically.
I dont see a port along the steel line and am afraid to plug a gauge directly to the steel line without a relief valve - which would be bypassed if I disconnect the steel line to the control valve.
How can I further eliminate the possible casues without risking damaging the system?
Any help would be appreciated.
