Bolens G174
Hi Guy's I'm new to the Forum and Thread. I need lot's of help as I just purchased a almost new Bolens G174 tractor with just 335 total hours. No lie this thing is Awsome!! The guy who had it keep it in his heated garage next to his Harley. I think he loved this as much as the bike, not a scratch on this Bad Boy...

I had a Bolen years ago which had a snowplow on it and it was just perfect fro my uphill steep driveway. I'm looking to see if I can located a used factory one for my new Bolens G174.

I have a brand new set of AG tires and rims for it. And the tires still have the dimples on them, can't use them, willing to part out also a new back blade as well/ Hope to hear back from anyone, as I just LOVE my new Old Bolens

We need pictures, Richard.

Hint for a snowy climate: a G174 in turf tires can use the tire chains off an army surplus Jeep on its rear wheels. Beware of a roll-over if one back wheel drops through the crusted snow, though.

I have had one of these for the last 13 years. It runs fine but has not ben babied like yours! It is in need of some maintenance, clutch, brakes, especially, but I never seem to get the time to get into it! I change the oil periodically and had to replace the thermostat and rad hoses and that is all. It has never let me down so I feel rather guilty about it. I have rototiller, fertilizer spreader, rear blade, loader, front forks, Bear Cat Chipper-shredder, and mower deck, though I don't use the latter as it is hard to install and remove and gets in the way for everything else. I run on turf tyres and with the 4wd have never needed chains. It seems you have got yourself a real gem!
