Boom Pole and Leaves

The leaves are falling so much that we had over 4 inches of leaves to take care of. I put on my snow blade (rubber edge) and pushed the leaves into large piles. Then we used a large canvas to rake the leaves into and lifted with the boom pole and transported to the burn pit. The pictures you see are what was left on the lawn which we raked up into smaller piles and transported to the burn pit. Forgot to get pictures of the snow blade pushing the leaves into large pile.
The boom pole really worked great.

Please do not post any more pictures of Bozeman. I was raised outside of Cody, Wyoming, and went to college in Bozeman. My parents informed me this weekend they are selling the family farm and moving closer to our house in Washington and my sister in Oregon. I nearly cried, and then struggled to find money in my checking account just to buy the house from them.

Bozeman has changed a lot since 90... But still one of my most favorite towns in the USA...

Great idea, and good job. Our leave battle begins today and goes on for at least the next 4 weeks. Even though I don't have my PT this time around to help me, I still have 3 very capable garden tractors.

I have contemplating getting one of these. I have two acres of live oaks that rain leaves. I have a vacuum system on the back of my Dixie Chopper, that will fill up a container in about 10 minutes. and it is getting old and worn out. The Cyclone impeller flexes when it hits something, whereas, the steel impeller will bend, and sand just eats away at the steel, rendering it useless after one season.

I started my leaf round up yesterday but take the lazy man's approach...a few passes with the finish mower does it for me. Yard does not look "pretty" for a week or so but once they decompose it seems to help the grass and soil.

Your correct about BZN changing in the last 20 years. Population of the Gallatin Valley is over 80,000. On the good side I don't have to drive to Billings or Spokane to get good deals on construction equipment.

left over tubing from my QA Hitch project...I see a boom in my future!

Love using the PT to grade the driveway every few days...the guys on the site really like it!

Great idea. We have it easy. Our property is more or less a on a peninsula and the prevailing wind is strong. If we mulch them with the lawn mower and cut the grass real short the wind blows the rest of the leaves away.
