Boomer 3040 Error code 5080

Today when I tried using my tractor, to do some light cutting, when I went to engage the PTO (rear), I received an error code 5080. I looked it up in the manual and the message is "PTO clutch solenoid excessive voltage". Any idea what the code means? I only have 47 hours on the machine, and just had the 50 hour service done. Any help would be appreciated.

You failed to mention in your post that you have the Boomer 3040 CVT transmission. That makes you right at the leading edge of technology and way far ahead of my knowledge. I researched your PTO valve on messicks.com to find out that there are two solenoids involved with the system. My best advice would be to get on the phone with your dealer's service manager as soon as possible. We have several NH techs and experts who post here and may be able to help, but on a tractor just over 50 hours, it seems an obvious warranty issue.

Welcome to TBN and this forum. I hope you'll come back often and give us some feedback on your new Boomer 3040. I hate that you're getting off to a rough start with the PTO error code. It might be something as simple as a loose connection, but who can say?

Thanks for the reply. I just spoke to the dealer & they are looking into it. I am also hoping for it to be just a connection (type) issue, but I thought I would throw the question out there, in hopes that someone may have a "quick fix" at their fingertips.
