New Holland 47 Boomer
Anyone experience floppy bucket syndrome with their Boomer 47 ....This thing is driving me up the friggin wall.
I can raise the RPM's and roll the bucket and it works fine for a bit, but it constantly goes right back to floppy.
Anyone know any mods that have been done to fix this crap!
I've had my TC 30 for 20+ years and it works harder than this POS Boomer 47
About to go Green....John Deere....somebody stop me!

I suggest performing a search for floppy bucket and you will find out it is not just Boomers that have this problem. Simplest fix is a flow control in the rod end line to restrict oil flow out of the cylinders when dumping. Some people have just installed an orifice for the same purpose. My tractor has single curl cylinder so I went one step further and installed a counterbalance valve which is a valve designed to prevent overrunning loads. More expensive, more plumbing, but provides consistent control even with forks.

Thanks...was actually thinking of installing an orifice check valve (OCV) to allow free flow curl and restricted extend....Again...thanks, think I'll do that and add the OCV.

Well that didn't work! Tried putting a flow restrictor in the dump/extend line....still floppy bucket!
$1,400.00 for an upgraded pump seems mighty stiff.....Korean built New Hollands SUCK!!!!!

Did you put the flow restrictor facing the right way and on the right port of the cylinder?

The flow restrictor should restrict fluid flow coming out of the rod end of the cylinder. Sounds like you put it on the wrong line.
