Working my little TC29D with some simple chores today and saw it was running a little hot. I check the radiator and saw that it was nearly bone dry. Decided to add straight water (we were nearly 70 degrees today and just wanted to limp along) and it simply poured out. RATS, the sucker is leaking.

I looked online at Messicks (where I bought a water pump a couple of years ago) and discovered the radiator for our 2002 model was over $685!!!! :confused2: Holy crap!

Does anyone have a better source for parts for our poor 2002 Boomer series or is that what a replacement radiator is gonna cost?

I would look into having it repaired, I replaced the radiator in my mf 255 a few yrs ago. and it was around 350 bucks.

If you remove the radiator from the tractor and take it to a radiator repair shop they can tell you whether it's repairable or not. If it's repairable I think you'll be pleasantly surprised by the low cost compared to a new one.

Try NH tractor junk yards . Long lane tractor in elizebethtown pa. Or radiator shop is your best bet they will solder it up pressure test it and paint it for under 200$ .:drink:

Awesome advice! I'll give a radiator repair shop a try and will post back with the results.

Well, my radiator was not repairable. But the shop was able to find a supplier near us that was about $100 less than Messicks, so I hopefully have saved a little bit.
