SEE YouTube VIDEO of this Boomer here - N/H BOOMER 4x4 diesel tractor - loader - $11,900 Jeff - Tri-State Bobcat WI 715-781-3940 - YouTube

As you can see in the video it is not in great shape cosmetically but not horrible either. Dealer wants 12k but said there is some wiggle room. My idea is that is a lot of hours for that money. let me know your thoughts.

A rental tractor would be my very last choice in a tractor....I saw how the rental tractors were treated by renters at my local NH dealership.

The only way I would buy one would be with some sort of dealer warranty for a year and a significant price discount over a comparable non rental tractor.

1365 rental hours is a bit of a crap shoot as opposed to 1365 hours of private ownership where you at least get the opportunity to interview the owner/operator. If you choose to persist, a substantially lower offer could only keep you from owning the tractor and the rental outfit renting it out further.
Perhaps an analysis of all fluids could make you more comfortable to purchase but that cost would probably be on you.

Since that tractor has turf tires, my guess is it has done mowing chores for a considerable amount of time. The dealer should be able to tell you what implements were primarily used with this tractor. Being a Bobcat dealer, this tractor may have been used a lot for cleanup around construction sites also and seen very little use of the PTO. You should be able to look at the PTO stub to see if it looks used. Also check if it has mid-PTO for a belly mower. He showed the fender controls, but I'm not familiar enough with the controls on that model to know if it had a lever for mid-PTO, but there was one lever there that had the label scratched off. The range lever, main PTO lever, and 4WD lever were obvious, but I think it may also have mid-PTO. If it does, that's a big plus.

I did not see anything about that tractor that would make me believe it would be a bad buy at $11,900. That includes the small puncture hole on the grill. Of course, you always want to make your best deal, so you might talk to him about a better deal or maybe a 90-day guarantee on the PTO. The PTO is one of those things that can easily be abused by renters and I'd sure want to make sure it can run a rotary cutter well before buying the tractor. I'd ask for a demo for sure.

All-in-all, I thought that tractor looked pretty darn good. It has some really nice features like a bolt-on cutting edge on the loader bucket, a brush guard, and quick-attach loader. The front axle looked in great shape. SuperSteer is a very nice option to have. I'd say thumbs-up  if you want to purchase it. I don't think you'll find that kind of value too often.

I bought a rental 2004 TC33D from a local dealer that had 147 hours on it. It had the older loader and a Bradco backhoe on it. When I bought it they provided a one year power train warranty. I have really enjoyed my tractor. I like the supersteer feature but you should be aware that the front end moves the opposite direction by up to eight inches before going the desired direction. It takes some getting used to and can be challenging especially with pallet forks mounted to the bucket. I don't know what you you plan to use it for or what the capacity of the 14LA loader is but the one on mine is rated at 800lbs. That would be my only complaint. I would think that if it was rented out by the dealer like mine was they probably kept the maintenance up on it. Hope this helps.
