Tractor
Kubota B26, John deere X595
I currently own a JD GX345 and was looking to upgrade to a 4WD lawn tractor. I looked at the JD X749, nice machine, but I am sick of all the plastic parts that they use. Can't tell you how much I spent in replacement parts for my GX. Anyway I heard some good things about Kubotas line of lawn tractors, but am not at all familiar with them, and their site is having some problems. Can anyone tell me what they offer as far as 4WD. I want the smallest 4WD that can handle a snow blower and tiller. Thanks

If you are asking about the BX series Kubotas the BX1860 is the baby of the family at 18 HP but it will handle a Snow blower and tiller and is 4WD. Has option of 48" or 54" mower deck in standard or fine cut.

I have the BX1850 with 54" standard deck and am happy with the cut and performance of this machine.

If you want 4WS/4WD (you mentioned the X749 which is) there really isnt anyone else out there that offers it - especially the way Deere does it without tearing up the grass, while still offering a tight turning radius and both front wheels pulling...

+1 I own and like Kubota, but the GR series Kubota just does not compare to the X700 series. The JD 700 series machines are the cream of the crop in lawn tractors.

There are both of these in the street , and I have to say that the JD
is the better machine , even at USD1000 more . I don't like the GR engineering
of cutting the inside-rear wheel drive by a small turn on the fronts . On
hill accent , it's a loss of traction. The JD's bigger and slower reving engine
is also better cooled , as is the hydro too ! <This was an old loaner from
a couple of years back . >

Looks like a BX is exactly what you are looking for. a long lasting, heavy duty home lawn machine to handle couple implements like tiller and blower.
