After removing 3 point to get to rear hydraulic drain plug I find shaft needs REPAIR. I can screw it in but won't tighten , but I can't get it to screw out all the way. Help please. HOW DO I remove shaft to repair or replace. 🤔 thank you. It's bottom right where lift arm attaches. Thanks.

It sure looks like the axle half needs to come off.

Wheel assembly, then the fender, then any "doo dads" like brakes etc. Then un bolt the axle support housing. Look inside at the securing cotter pin and nut for the tapered seat 3 pt lift arm pivot shaft

Piece of cake! ;-) Heavy and oil intensive, but likely not too bad.

Like CalG said - that axle housing is going to be heavy. I'd let the oil drain for a good long time - less of a mess. Then it's just seeing why the inner nut won't tighten or loosen.

Yeah . I think I may have to put this on hold and find good zero- turn mower. I stated this about 3 weeks ago with kubota finishing mower REPAIR, then lead to Ford 3000 REPAIR. Finding parts and getting them shipped is taking too long. Grass is not waiting . Appreciate the help. Thanks. Running into lots of problems that will take time. Radiator leaks after I flushed it. Power steering leaking to name a few and then this. I do love this tractor though. It's about 51 years old and still runs good. :)
