Bought a BX23 Today

I wanted to thank everyone for there input in my search over the last several months. I looked at lots of different machines and I found myself always comparing them to the BX. I took the advice of buying form a dealer you are comfortable with and conveinent. I did not go with the lowest price dealer. I bought from what ended up being the closest dealer 9 miles away. He was not the least expensive but he was competitive and that is all I ask. I purchased the BX23, 60" MMM, and the PTO powered Grass Catcher. The grass catcher was not in stock so I will be getting delivery the end of next week. Again thanks to all and now I can't wait.

Congradulations, on a Nice tractor. I belive that the closer the dealer, the better it will be for little things, that you need. My dealer is only 2.2 miles away. I drop by all the time, when I am home.

Congrats. You'll fond all kinds of uses for that BX23. It packs alot of utility in a compact package.
I also went with the closest dealer and stop by often.

I use mine mainly for finish mowing and the FEL & BH are dismounted 70% of the time. This is mainly due to the obstacles & spaces I've got to fit in/through.
Once I got the MMM set up it's given as good a cut, if not better, than my previous riding L&G mowers. The PS and hydro make it almost too enjoyable to be work, but don't tell the Mrs /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I stow the FEL & BH on dollies which makes it very easy to stow mount & dismount.

One great use I discovered for the FEL is to use it to turn my compost pile. Once a week I turn it and last yrs leaves & clippings have made this seasons outstanding mulch. I just piled it up out in the field, no bins, and it was ready to use by mid summer.

I recommend to follow the manufacturer's recommendations up until the 50hr then do what you want. Some have had good luck running it hard from day one and others have had good luck switching over to syn oil right off the bat. Congratulations on your new toy purchase. You'll really be glad you went to the dealer close to you. Drop in from time to time and build up a relationship with him. I do and it's nice to get the little perks he gives me from time to time. /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

I wanted one too,[im sure there great] but i found with my 23,i loved that smooth back dragging ability it will do.Back of the bucket forward ,edge of the bucket with wheels off the ground backwards,smooths like glass.when somethings too hard to scoop up easy i loosen with hoe first.so with 15o plus hours my prioritys have changed fron toothber to thumb on hoe instead.different strokes for different folks

Hi everyone!

Well it arrived Saturday morning all shined up. What a super machine! I have not had a lot of seat time this weekend due to prior commitments but I tell you can it cut grass! I cannot wait to get started on my projects. I hope to post a picture soon. Again thanks to all for the much needed guidance.
