Ford 3500
Hi all, I'm new here, I recently bought a Ford 3500 for about a grand or so. It has the Minimec Simms Inline 3 injection Pump that has two of the plungers stuck in the open position. At the moment it is soaking in diesel and soaked in gas all of last night. Does anybody have the manual for this pump as I can't find it any where.
Thanks Paul

I can get you the pump section. What is your email?

Small update, I have gotten the top of the pump off, and to my demise I found that all the cam followers are rusted a bit. I also found that the plungers are rusted into there barrels. Really hoping that there is a simple and fast fix for this.
P.S The previous owner just told me that it sat for ten years with the injection pump off.

I would think that would be a available part or even a complete pump for the 3500. It was a popular tractor and should have parts available somewhere. Maybe it could be rebuilt :confused3:

would try soaking it in some marvel mystery oil

but if it was removed years ago -sounds like there may have been problems even back then - and now its also got rust on parts that are machined to some very precise and critical clearances. Then again- nothing to lose and much to gain

Good luck and Welcome to TBN

Will try the Mystery marvel oil but does anyone now where I can get some new cam followers. The ones on it are not that rusted and probably could be used if they were polished and sanded down a bit, but I don't know the specs of the pump and can't find the manual or any info on it. I also found what looks to be mud in the lift pump and in the oil chamber of the pump it's been soaking in diesel for two days now and the plungers are still stuck, any ideas on removing them.

Got all but on of the plungers out :), beating on it with a dead blow hammer from the delivery valve side didn't do much, so it's getting another night in diesel  .
