Kubota M9540 w/FEL
I am a registered newby here but have been lurking on the site for several months gaining valuable insight and details about your tractor buying experiences. Been looking at the Kubota for quite sometime. Have a history with them actually as my Dad bought an L2550 new in 1985.

This weekend I finally made a decision to buy and went with the M8540 4WD, FEL, Hydraulic Shuttle, brushgaurd bumper, front weights (5), 2 remotes, and fluid in tires. They have to order the weights and a different bumper. Apparently if you use the weight bracket, there is a different bumper that you have to use.

Thanks for letting me share the news. Looking forward to Friday!:D

Davidsan: good choice. I feel the 85 & 95 have some real plus features over the 50-7040. really like the transmission lock/brake, hyd brakes, and generally more guts w/fel work than than the smaller models in that line. know it'll fit your needs like a glove. the larger frame and wheel base seem to smooth out the ride. send us a pic....attached is my rig.....bb

BB: I like it!!! Where did you get your canopy? Is that from the dealer? Looks like you have a worklight on it too. The 85/95's are a hearty looking machine I must say!

I have to go out of town this week and will be back Thursday night. It is to be delivered Friday. I'll snap some shots when it rolls up on the truck and post them then!!

Mr Davidsan: thanks...the canopy is a dealer item (think out of Texas), I'm in arkansas. go steel if you get one. added the rear work light from a connection at the bottom of the rops, easy to find. not making my living from ag. so I really like the open station setup. do you plan to detach the fel hence the bumper weights? smart move to have rears filled. just installed a hydraulic top link...man, one of my best add ons...oh yeah, the best thing is that I paid off the 8540 a few months ago....life is good. enjoy! bb

Congratulations! I bought an M8540HD last year, great tractor, put 4 hours on it Saturday pulling a 10' rotary cutter. I've got the factory canopy on mine.
