Bought a Massey 65 on the weekend

Hello all,

I'm new to the forums and to tractor ownership. Just bought a Massey 65 diesel on the weekend with a Freeman loader.

Im hoping to change the oil/fluids thisweekend so i know its been done. Just wondering if anyone can give me some pointers on where to start, where to buy filters, etc. I'm in Canada so hoping there we some good vendors that ship to Canada.

Welcome to the forum Mark.

As far as where to buy your filters etc, check with your local dealerships. I don't have any problem getting my hyd and oil filters, most dealers carry them, shouldn't have to order from the states.

Be sure to clean the bowl in the fuel line. On my 1964 MF135 diesel, it's located between the fuel tank and the fuel filter. I had to remove the fuel tank and clean it thoroughly to remove the small particles of rust.

Its a 1959,going by the serial number with a diesel that I believe to be indirect injection (judging by the "triangles" on the exhaust side). Manufactured in Wisconsin. Would that make it an A4.203? I'm trying to figure out if I can convert to spin on filter setup. Does anyone have experience with this?
