Bought a Mott 5' flail (fine) for $450!

I bought a Mott 5' flail mower, fine cut, for $450 in great shape. Needs a new input shaft seal but other than that works wonders.

I can finally safely mow my ditches now with the big tractor. Took a few passes (being a finish mower and all) to get it under control, but it should be easy as pie going forward.

Really nice cut quality and performance, I wonder why flails are not more frequently used for finish mowing?

Price a new one and you will have your answer. I have several scattered around and think they are great for mowing in town, or around the pond with a 88 that is offset.
