Bought a tractor!

Just wanted to thank everyone for their advice in my other thread asking what tractor to buy. It was all very helpful.

I found one that fits my needs at a price under my budget. It's a Kubota L185 with some type belly mower. Smokes when starting, but clears up and runs strong. 8 forward and 2 reverse. 3 speed PTO. Brakes are great and the steering is good. Tires have a little dry rot but good tread. Just need to find out what type of mower I've got here and find service manuals for it and the tractor.

What do you all think about this machine?

I have one new tractor (6 years ago), the rest were all second hand. They've treated me well and get the job done (and saved a ton of $$).

Go ahead and do your "Celebration Routine" which means change all the fluids and filters, charge the battery overnight, and grease it up well.

As with anything, you don't always know what the PO (previous owner) did for service, so catch everything up the first time.

I use a permanent marker to write the date and hours on the outside of the filters when I install it.

I don't have a manual for you, though. Is there something in particular you need to know- just ask. Lots of knowledgeable folks here.
