kubuta bx2350
so as the title states got myself a used 2008 kubota bx2350! really happy to finally have one! :)

i do know of the problems the 50 series had,
did alot of research on them, and decided i can live with the abrupt reverse stopping, and plastic fenders, and the seat, and dash board problems,
wich he had replaced for me, brand new, its got the new style dashboard nowwith the digital screen with zero hours, and i have the old one to keep for resale proof of original hours, so it has around 193 hour or so.
so i picked it up from another home owner,
he has a 2015 5x10 trailer to tow it. brand new basicly
for implements it has a landpride grapple. with third hydraulic functions.
a front loader,
pallet forks that attach to the bucket,
a 3point hitch and a trailer hitch,
and a york rake, not sure the brand name, doesnt look to beefy tho.
also he said the tires are filled for extra wieght, i believe all 4 tires!
in july of 2015 he did a full service on it, and since then he put on only about 15 hours or so,

all that for 10800, so i figured it was a good deal cheaper and more implements than any other tractor for sale without implements
what are your thoughts on this?>
also any recommendations on what to lookout for when using it,
i do know about the plastic fan on the driveshaft for transmission cooling, i already got my front and rear skid plates from brotek!
also the fenders are not cracked but i dont know if i have the step stay kit already? the deck doesnt flex as much as i thought it does, so maybe he had that installed?

i will be mainly using it for landscape work, snow removal, and firewood! about 5-6 cords yearly. also i would love to get a tiller, any advice on that?

thanks in advance!

I bought a BX2350 new and absolutely loved it. I put nearly 700 hours and the only reason I traded it in was because I wanted one with a backhoe since I bought a bigger place. I ended up getting a BX25D-1.

I think you mentioned the only issues I have heard of. I am not familiar with the step stay kit. Sounds like a good price.

I have a Land Pride 42" reverse rotating tiller and it works great.

I've used a 42" forward rotation tiller and it also worked great. It will just depend on your personal wishes.

Good luck with the new tractor. I would advise you to check the fluids and tire air pressures. Even though the tires are loaded, you still have to maintain air in them. Make sure all the grease fittings are hit. And if your tractor is similar to my BX-25, be sure to hit the zerk for hst peddle. It's located under the floor mat; there's a little cut out that lifts up to access it. I would always kept an extra set of filters on hand, especially for the fuel and oil because we all know--ice cream happens. Have fun.

Hi peshkins. Congratulations on the new (to you) tractor. Sounds like a good deal, especially with the implements and trailer you mentioned. You've done your research and know what you've got. I'd suggest lurking on the TBN site and learning all you can from these guys. You'll be surprised how much transferable information there is here; that is, even if the discussion doesn't necessarily involve a BX2350, you will be able to pick up a lot of good information.

Enjoy the tractor! Jeff

Make sure you check the front axle fluid. If it was never checked it WILL be low.

what kinda filters do u recommend? kubota brand only or other after-market ones are ok?

the zerk underneath the peddle was the first one i hit! lol
still the peddle seems to be releasing slowly after going forward, any idea?... reverse functions is great!

Look under the tractor just above the hydraulic filter. You will see a spring with a threaded rod on the bottom. That is the return spring for the HST pedal and needs to be adjusted as the spring weakens. You will need a 12mm open end wrench 12mm socket, 6 inch extension and ratchet. Loosen the top nut, turn the bottom nut to adjust then tighten the top nut. Don't go more that 1 turn at a time. According to my manual the tractor should stop in 3 ft when going forward in high.
The top nut is hard to turn because of the fan blade in the way, I held it with the wrench and backed the bottom nut off 1/2 turn, I was then able to run the top nut up with my finger tip.
After loosening, turn the bottom nut clockwise 1 turn, run the top nut back down and hold with the wrench and tighten the bottom nut.
I had to adjust 3 times on mine before it would stop in the prescribed distance but I didn't want to over do it.
