Just purchased A 2001 John Deere 4500 four wheel drive With front end loader and 513 rotory cutter. To be delivered Tuesday afternoon. Any one have any experiance with such a beast. Has 100 Hours on it and looks factory fresh.
My brother-in-law has a 1999 or 2000 model (I don't remember now). I have had several opportunities to drive it and I must say that though I highly enjoy my Cub Cadet, I would trrade it for a 4500 any day of the week. The 4500 I used has the SyncRverser on it and loaded industrial tires. The loader attaches and detaches in about 3 minutes, the hoe in less than 10. I am jealous!
Ohso.....
Congrats!! Welcome aboard. We love it when guys are able to get new toys..oh...I mean hard working, invaluable tools to get the job done. Just remember the 513 is a "light" duty rotary cutter. Be carefull what you back up into. The skirt is not reinforced and it will bend and you will have broken welds if you back into something semi-solid. Been there, done that. Twice. Other than that, does a good job cutting. Welcome!
