Allis Chalmers 616 (Two) and a Kioti CK30 HST with loader and backhoe
Well, now I've done it Ollie. Made the downpayment today on a Kioti CK 30 with loader. Hooray and thanks to all of you who have put up with me posting and asking questions for a year!!!!

Jim:)

More details to come, still trying to get the wife to agree to add on the backhoe.

Congrats! I love mine. I use the backhoe more than I would have thought. Plus with a backhoe on you save by not having to add weight to the rear tires!

nooooooooo, waaaaaait, don't buy THAT one!

hahaha

congrats.....

i see a pattern on here about how we over-analyze stuff and then after we are certain and make a decision, THEN someone warns us about something!;)

Congrats on the purchase. Who did you buy it from??

I hope you realize we get pics. :)

CHEERS on an excellent buy. Nice to see somebody still buying something, especially a TRACTOR !! Those Kioti's are nice beefy tractors. If I ever look at replacing my Dynamo, I would definitely look at a Kioti.

How much do you think you saved over buying an equivalent Kubota ?? When do you take delivery ?

WOW, a brand new tractor. I'd be going NUTS right about now !! :D:D

Congrats and Welcome to the Pack!

Post some pictures in the Kioti forum when you get it. If you need to justify the backhoe purchase, I have already calculated that in less than 2 years after initial purchase my backhoe paid itself off versus renting a backhoe at $150/day. You always find needs for it and now every time I use it, I am putting money in my pocket. Just yesterday I dug a 50ft long trench 3ft deep for a new propane line, saved my sister over $600 that they were charging to do it.

Smart man. Lots of research and a good decision. I should have researched like you and I wouldn't have bought a Kubota. Best of luck.

I will post exact details and a picture (after I get the unit) on the Kioti forum. I don't know that I really saved any material amount of money vs getting the Kubota L3440, but I think I got a better buy overall. This is a "life" purchase for me so if I really felt strongly one way or another a few bucks would have caused me to wait a while to save up. In the end the price was about equal but I got better financing on the balance, a better warranty, a heavier tractor and a dealer that I really like a lot. I bought from Dick and Tom Ott at Lakeridge equipment just outside of Uxbridge, ON.

Disclaimer for all you Kubota guys. I know 100% for sure that I would have loved a Kubota and the dealer near me is very honest too - it was a very hard choice to make and I actually feel bad not supporting the dealer in my home town. In the end probably the reasons listed above swayed me over.

NOW all I have to do is pay the thing off!!!
:D;)
And yes Kozak, I'm pretty darn excited. I think I'm going to go for the BH too (wife is worried that I'm getting out of control but I know I can use it for a million things around here. Heck, I'll dig holes just so I Have to fill them in agian)!

Congratulations on the Kioti. I'll bet you will be happy with it. That CK30 is a great size.

Your last comment reminds me of a guy I used to work with in a factory. This guy had so much nervous energy that one of the inspectors described him as "not caring if he ever struck water. He just loved digging the wells.":D

Uh-oh! You forgot to ask us for advice on what attachments to get!

Quick, add a bush hog, finish mower, disc, drag, chisel plow, turning plow, rear blade, box blade, front blade, belly blade, belly mower, power rake, landscape rake, seeder, dethatcher, tiller, furrower, potato plow, middle buster, sub-soiler, front winch, logging winch, bucket hooks, tire chains....

Did you get the extra hydraulic outlet for the grapple on the front? the 3 outlets on the back?

Come on man! Get out there and stimulate the economy, it's your patriotic duty!

(Gawsh, I hope his wife never catches up with me....);)

Ha ha ha :)

Now I know why you are a super member John_Bud! I have told the dealer I am taking the BH. I have a 5' box blade already, manure bucket and also a 6' JD snowplow that I'm going to modify to "clip" on to the bucket. BTW, in your list you missed harrows and a float trailer to take it with me!

Also, my wife is pretty crafty and fast, so you better watch out!!!!

Hey jinman, you are pretty much right on - I do happen to have a huge amount of fidgety energy - I think I sat still once in 1974 but it was because I was not feeling well that day.

That was just the "initial list", didn't want to overload ya too quick!
