Just bought a Harvest return Kubota L3130 HST.
Harvest return tractors are rented by local farmers for the summer and then turned in with 50-100 hours. Then sold with full 3 year warrenty for about $3,000 off new.
Bought it from Dolk Tractor in Rio Vista,CA 1-707-374-6439. Rio Vista is on Hwy 12 about halfway between Modesto and Vacaville. I worked with Rick Dolk the owners son for about two months while I was in the process of buying 21 acres in the foothills of the Sierra's.
Rick was great to work with through the whole process. Really appreciated his patience on my many questions.
What really helped to decide on which tractor to buy, was to actually drive the tractors to see how they felt. Only a few dealers would let me do this. I stopped by every major tractor dealer within 100 miles of my house. After looking at Kubota, John Deere, New Holland, Kioti, Mahindra, Branson, Agco, Challenger,and used Skip Loaders. Decided on the Kubota as the price was about the same as everyone else, with better quality and name. Why would you buy a Kioti if the price was the same as a Kubota /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif
I ended up buying a L3130 HST hydrostat and then upgraded to the LA723 loader for a extra $450. Added the Kubota Quick Tach system for another $400 and then bought Gearmore Quick Attach Pallet forks model 17380/67604 for another $950. ( Kubota was backordered 2 months on their pallet forks) The pallet forks attaching with Quick Attach lets me bring in the load 18". So I can pick up 300-500lbs more than Clamp on Forks, also I won't bend my bucket up. Rick was pretty good on the delievery charge only$40 and brought it up himself.
So my final price was $19006 delievered to my door. I took advantage of the 3.99% financing for 5 years with nothing down, which is much better than the credit card.
