Bobcat CT445
Tractor, box blade, rotary cutter, FEL, rear remotes, loaded R1s. Out the door for less than $22K.

Had 22yds of dirt delivered to fill in some holes, so I tested the "power" issue. Hard packed clay ground, box blade attached for ballast. Low range spun the tires with the bucket pushed into the dirt pile. Mid range would stall the engine at 1800rpms and spin the tires at 2300rpms. Didn't try high range. Dug several sets of ruts.

This thing sure beats the old MF 135s & Ford 8Ns for operator comfort...

Seems to me like you did very well for that price. I am waiting to take delivery on a DK45SE HST. Running into some trouble with getting all the parts together in one place though. Thats another story though.....

Also, I am glad to hear that you didnt have a power problem with using it. I was getting a little concerned about the issues some other were having with the Kioti/Bobcat HST issues. Your post has reassured me a little.....

David,

The concerns were starting to worry me also; glad to see it seems to have plenty of power right out of the box.

Hope your Kioti works great too!

That is a good price. I am currently looking at my options for purchacing my first tractor for my acreage and priced out a CT450 up here in British Columbia in January and the price was $35000 before taxes. That was with FEL, 74" bucket, front auxilary kit.

Bobcat now has a $3000 off deal in Canada so it would help somewhat, but that is still $10000 more up here. With our Cdn dollar at par now I hope we get some better incentive pricing this summer to bring the costs in line with the US prices.

I am sure it is the import duty Canada puts on everything imported up there,
I fill out export paperwork daily and Canada wants every penny they can get on export goods, someone has to pay for your excellent health care programs :p

I know the feeling man. I just priced a CT335 here with the loader and bobtac. It was 27k with no attachments. I know dealers in the states have way better pricing then what we get. I really dont think it has anything to do with our free health care, its more like our goverment is a bunch of greedy bastards.:D

Thanks, guys - it seems like a really nice utility tractor. Since taking delivery, I have brought in 44yds of topsoil and rearranged how water flows across my sloped yard.

The FEL is very handy at other things as well - it will dig in, remove, and carry off 6' of border grass slick as you please!

It has been dry here recently and the R1s have had a negligible impact on the yard.

Fuel usage has been about .75gal/hr, with most of the work done around 2K rpm.

I did examine underneath the hood and best I remember the engine is rated at 33.7Kw @ 2600rpm. Dividing by 746w/hp gives 45hp.

Two things, tho. Most of my tractor experience was from growing up in SW GA in the 70s. SO. First, what @#$%%^ came up with the new 5gal diesel containers? Got shed of the nozzle, replaced it with one off a gas can and drilled a vent hole. Secondly, that guy's cousin must've invented that ridiculous spring loaded circular collar on the PTO shaft. I never had a bit of trouble with the old button style. Even if they seized, a shot of PB Blaster/WD-40 and a whack with a hammer would fix ya right up.
