#1
Bought a used kubota l4310 tractor and when I turn the key to the ON position no oil pressure or charge lights come on but the glow plug light does. Then after I start it the glow plug light never goes off.
The battery charge test shows
It is not charging. I had the alternator tested and shows it’s ok. I’m getting battery voltage at the alternator, at the red wire and both small wires at the plug with the key on. I think maybe the key switch is bad because the glow plug light should not come on with the key in the On position and never shut off after starting. This tractor calls for a 4 position switch . Mine has a 3 position one. Do you think that the reason it’s not charging is because the glow plugs are drawing more power than the alternator is putting out so the battery is continuously being drained.
