I would like to know if I should get a 60" box blade for the L3700 or a 66"? Also is it worth paying the extra money for a Land Pride or will a United, King Kutter, Bush Hog or other be comparable. I don't know much about them. I see there is a considerable price difference though in the Land Pride compared to other models. I wish they would all put the weights on the specification. It is hard to compare when they don't fully disclose all the information. I don't want to buy again.

I forgot to mention that the L3700 would have the R4 tires so it is suppose to be 60" wide. Maybe someone can confirm that.

Get the 66" (or better yet, look around for a 72") your tractor can handle it...

Weight will help, you can add some weight to the BB... I always try and buy used to save money so I don't even know what brand I have... and it works great.

I agree that you should at least get the 66" or even the 72". You can always opt to take a smaller/less agressive bite if you get into some tough conditions.

Of the brands you metioned, any of them will probabally work just fine. The L3700 one of the lighter tractors in this size class. That and the R4's limit the pulling ability compared to some other makes. But of the ones you mentioned, the landpride is probabally the heaviest built. But the KK should do just fine as well for the reasons just mentioned. And I havent heard anything about the united.

I like Land Pride, but box blades are not cutting edge technology for most uses. A higher cost, higher quality box blade can be really nice, but for many users, any of reasonable quality will work.

I have a Land Pride BB2584 and it works really nice, but I would like to have a HR3584, I just didn't want to pay for it.

What I have is close enough and it works for me and we use really economical units on some of our smaller tractors which work fine for our purposes.

Just look at the quality of the welds, weight etc and as mentioned if you can get a good used one go for it, I have yet to see one for sale in my area, so I bought new.

Thanks to all of you. Your comments are very helpful. I probably will go with the little bit larger BB as long as you think the L3700 can pull it ok. I also want to get one that is heavy duty.
