Box Scraper box blade

I'm looking into buying a box blade and have narrowed it down to the bb 60 from king kutter at tsc for 499.00 or my dealer has a land pride 1560 for around 800 canadian.

is the land pride worth 300 more?

I notices the scarifier cross bar is 5/16 thick on the landpride and only 1/4 on the kk but they seem to weight in the same at around 420 pounds

I have 1/3 mile of gravel trails in my woods to maintain and some trails have bigger rocks in them also and I'm worried about bending something on the kk the first time I use it. anyone have any first hand experience with the kk bb60

Don't know anything about the King Kutter but I have the 1560 and have run it through lots of granite rocks large and small and it's held up well. You should be able to search for King Kutter and get more info here. There was also a long thread on Box Blades.

thaks for the reply, It is nice to know the 1560 holds up well. I'm beginning to think the landpride might be worth the extra. it looks like the lower link pins are captured which is not the case with the kk bb-60.

Land Pride Box Scrapers

Shows it at 428 lbs. I've added another 100+ or so to mine.

The only problem I've had with it is the paint coming off where the dirt hits. Guess that isn't unexpected. I've got over 60 hours grading granite "gravel" roads with lots of exposed rocks that won't move.

Welcome to TBN !. The KK HD model might meet your needs. IMHO you get what you pay for. There has been a lot of discussion about the quality of TSC/KK products on this site. I chose my BB base in part on the captured lower links. I have not regretted my decision. Jay
