Box Scraper Box Blade

I just saw a King Cutter box blade up the road for $300.00. Condition is real good. Looks to be about 60 inch wide. Is my BX 1860 enough tractor for this attachment? If I could buy it for $250, I think it would be a deal but don't want an impliement thats to big for the tractor.

I have a BX24 with a 48" box blade. With the scarifiers down, the 48" is all it can handle. I think others will agree that the 60" will be too big for serious digging. It will make a good rear ballast, though.

My 5ft KK box blade works well behind my 27hp / 3,750lbs JD 790. If i am not paying attention and cut to deep that box blade will stop the tractor in it's tracks.

If you got it for $250, tried it and it did not work you could resell it.

I would agree 60" is a little to much for that tractor, my previous B7500 could only handle the 48" KK with the rears filled.

I have a 60" box blade on the back of my BX23...I've used it mainly for my 1,000' gravel driveway and it's worked well...Don't think I'd try using it on hard pack though.

Agree that 48" is max for a bx box blade. That way you can feel free to adjust the cutting angle, lower the teeth etc. as needed to do a good job. I have the Woods 48", and I love it. Second to the loader, it's the implement I use most. I sold my rear blade, because once I bought the box blade, I had no use for it. Of the two, the box blade is the more capable, useful tool.

I couldn't say but if you were closer I'd buy it off of you if it didn't work and use it behind my M4800
