john deere 2305
Hey all , Ive got a john deere 2305 looking at box blades. Does anyone on here have the county line 4foot or 5foot and how do they like it?

I do, and it's been perfectly fine for my purposes. I thought about buying a heavier-duty blade, but realized that with my 2320 there was no way I was going to tear up the County Line blade after I looked at it. The little orange one they sell wasn't as nice, but the yellow one was quite sturdy and well constructed.

It works perfectly well, with or without the rippers down. With all the rippers down, it's tough to pull with my tractor, though. A 4' one might have been better for my 25HP, but it didn't fully cover the width of my rear wheels, so I went with 5'. NO problems -- just sometimes need to go slow or take slightly smaller bites.

Just check the welds on the one at TS before you take it home. Overall, the blade has been great, but I've heard others say the quality control isn't as good as it should be with those blades -- look it over before you buy it and you should be fine.

Get one that covers your wheel tracks at least. I would also recommend a hydraulic top link. Hydraulic top link will double the work you can get done and do a better job.

FWIW, I have a 72" box blade with a 32 hp JD 4310.
