I am glad I bought a box blade. My plow truck in the shop and I still cleared the driveway of snow. The box blade is handy for alot of things!

The more one uses their boxblade the more one finds uses for it. I use both my FEL and BB for snow and ice management. It's a great combination.

I installed the scarifiers on mine this weekend to breakup the ice from a rain event last week. Helped with the driveway that had turned into an ice rink.

I've never used my ROBB for snow clearing. It's always my rear blade. The rear blade will sling the snow to the side as I trundle on forward.

box blades work pretty good for pulling snow forward from garage doors and the like plus if you plow forward with the bucket then just drop the box and plow in reverse. A tractor with a stout 3 point is probably a good idea though since pushing on the 3 point arms in reverse puts a lot of strain on them.
Double bladed Boxes should plow in reverse much better than a single blade box.

I use my box blade as well, for snow removal. At times I’ll use my rear blade, but usually just use whatever is on the back when the snow flies.

The box blade works surprisingly well.

This is my 4' box blade attached with the rippers at the rear, moving sand rock:

And moving gravel:

Last night I attached it with rippers forward to move some red clay:

It was too dark for pictures when I finished. Will get some today.

There was a large pile of dirt in the foreground like the one in the background. Most of it had been moved with a bucket on other machines:

Used the box blade last night to push it over into a small loose pile that will be easy to pick up.

I switch between using my GC1710 with a box blade and FEL and my Cub Cadet walk behind blower for snow management. The box blade does a better job of not pulling up stone on my gravel driveway than the blower as it floats on the rear blade as I drag. Even with the gauges on my snowblower they are narrow and sink into the stone causing my blower to start scooping up and spitting out some of my gravel.
